Cleaning stained and grimy household surfaces can get so taxing and messy that we’re likely to put it off. But with a good household hack, areas like bathtubs, tiles, grouts, kitchen sinks, countertops, and gas stove tops can be a delight to use and maintain.
This is where cleaning with drill brushes saves the day. A drill brush can be attached to a hand drill, which significantly reduces scrubbing time and effort by more than half. Neat, isn’t it?
Types of drill brushes
Bring it On Cleaner has developed 3 types of drill brushes, each designed for a specific kind of surface.
1. 5-inch Flat Brush
The 5-inch flat brush works perfect for all your flat horizontal and vertical surfaces such as tile and grout, indoor and outdoor brick and stone, tubs, sinks, and fiberglass.
It also works wonders on pots and pans, stained cushions, and rusted metals.
2. Corner Brush
Corner brush is intended for cleaning hard to reach places such as nooks, crevices, corners and edges in and around faucets, fixtures, and even sculptures.
3. Drill Pads
Drill pads are great for both outdoor and indoor uses. Each drill pad comes in two kinds when you buy the Bring It On Cleaner package, i.e.,
Red pads (more abrasive): recommended for cleaning tile and grout, tub, sinks, shower pans, linoleum, and toilets
White pads (less abrasive): recommended for cleaning tile and grout, glass, shower doors, baseboard, fiberglass, windows, car windshields
For best results, use drill pads with Bring It On Cleaner.
To prolong the cleanliness and use of your tile and grout, it’s important to give it a serious cleaning every several months. Here’s a simple instruction on how to properly use drill pads and complete the cleaning job sans the sweat.
How to scrub surfaces using drill pads
Depending on what kind of surface needs cleaning, attach the appropriate pad to the disk and then to the drill.
Apply or spray the cleaning product directly on the surface. In case there are molds on the surface, you might want to wear a mask so you don’t get to breathe them in. You might also want to wear gloves.
With the pad attached to the drill, smear the cleaning product all over the surface then let it set for about 5 to 10 minutes.
Start engaging the drill. Go easy on the speed to prevent the product from splashing. As you see the surface starting to clear, you’ll realize how effortless scrubbing can be.
Replace the drill pad with the corner brush or the 5-inch flat brush as you see fit. It’s also important to focus on one manageable area at a time so that you don’t miss a spot.
Enjoy easy cleaning!
